Red Coles

is a line of limited edition, hand painted and silk-screened shirts for men, women and kids. The collection has sold in specialty boutiques around the world including Fred Segal in Los Angeles, Lane Crawford in Hong Kong, Beams in Tokyo and The Studio Museum in Harlem.

The shirts are a mix of pop culture and music inspired line drawings, illustrations and graphic designs. From artist renderings of (or inspired by) icons Isaac Hayes, Nina Simone and Debbie Harry, to reinterpretations of traditional textile patterns and sometimes-satirical social commentary, the shirts are both refreshing and clever.

Artist, Eric Coles, designs the collection in his Brooklyn, New York studio. Produced by hand through a unique silk screen process, the Red Coles line delivers fresh products that speak directly to a generation of style conscious consumers.

Coles, a former music executive (who signed Maxwell among others) launched his first men's collection in 2003 because he didn't see what he wanted to wear when he went into stores. Now Coles sees celebrities rocking his goods in print and on television. Boldfaced supporters of the brand include Seal, Jennifer Connely, Steve Nash, Dave Chappelle, Common, Maxwell and Kanye West.
